“Will it become a new Christmas classic?”
I can’t remember where I got this information. An article I read? A radio program I listened to? Don’t know. It was years ago. It was a discussion about advising singers that new Christmas music had little chance, that at Christmas most people wanted to hear the classics, Bing Crosby, etc.
Still, there are songs that have become hits that I consider more modern than that. Maybe Danny’s song has a chance to become one of the modern hits.
I think it is good that he also included covers of loved Christmas favorites.
I was really hoping they would have the preview of the other songs when the album went up at iTunes….. but you can only preview “Lift Up Your Eyes”. I suppose that is how presales work?
I think this song is definitely a good fit for Danny. I like the tempo and the joyfulness of the song.

I think Hope In Front Of Me was also available through several mainstream store chains and Christian retailers. So the Christmas album may as well when the physical CD becomes available? ‘though I’m not sure how quickly regular stores put out Christmas-specific merchandise.

I like the new song. It didn’t feel “Christmassy” at first. I don’t know what I expected.
I have only listened to it 3-4 times and it had to grow on me a bit. I think it will go over well on Christian radio and as a praise and worship song too. I am definitely looking forward to the album!
