I was a little confused with this on first read.
But basically Danny will be a member of this 2-month tour, and he will be performing as the main act in the pre-show and hosting that portion?
At first, I thought he was just hosting one date for a tour kickoff party.
I’m still confused. Danny is host of the pre-show but not part of the show?
Will he be singing–or doing interviews with the show stars? Like the red carpet pre-show event he did before a country award show? ❓
It’s not too clear in the press release. But when I looked up how past shows had worked, it seemed that the supporting act in the pre-show did two songs, and the featured artist did ~four or so.
So I’m reading it that Danny will be performing. I’m not sure why else he would do such a long tour ?
ps – maybe next time Danny is taking up half the q&a time on the Beating Hearts Tour, someone can ask him 😛
The Pre-show Party is 45 minutes long. Since Danny is the host, I expect he will get 25 to 30 minutes. Maybe 5 songs? Every show, he does the Pre-Show Party.
Danny has to pay his dues, doesn’t he? I do hope he will be getting into the studio in between. I would imagine they have him scheduled 😉
On the bright side, 4 to 5 songs won’t tax his voice as much as a full show.
