“Danny Gokey Finds Hope, Home in Christian Music — interview by Randy Cordova

Danny Gokey in Gray cr (384x450)An interesting interview of Danny Gokey by Randy Cordova of “The Republic” on AZcentral.com. It covers topics as diverse as Danny’s thoughts on the value of his country music career, fitting in the Christian music genre and whether he’ll get another tattoo!

Here’s a few excerpts:

“The country market was so much fun to do, but it just feels like more of a family in the Christian market,” he says. “In terms of program directors, I became genuine friends with the people playing my music. That’s been invaluable. I never got to experience that in the country market, because there are a lot of bigger names in that market.”

When he was single, Gokey got a tattoo on his right arm with his first wife’s name inside a heart. He also founded a charitable organization named Sophia’s Heart Foundation. One imagines Leyicet must be very understanding.
