“These Are the Biggest Holiday Songs in The US This Year!”

From Hugh McIntyre for Forbes.com

“As the company does with every other genre, Nielsen is carefully tracking all things holiday music, and there are even charts associated with the format. In fact, there are three rankings for holiday songs: Current, Gold, and On Demand. Current Holiday Songs only considers those tracks that are new in 2015, even if they are just new versions of time-tested classics.”

Current Holiday Songs

1. Seal – “This Christmas”

2. Chris Tomlin – “Noel (ft. Lauren Daigle)”

3. Chris Tomlin – “He Shall Reign Forevermore”

4. LeAnn Rimes – “Celebrate Me Home (ft. Gavin DeGraw)”

5. Train – “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”

6. Danny Gokey – “Mary, Did You Know?”

7. Danny Gokey – “Lift Up Your Eyes”

8. Train – “Merry Christmas Everybody”

  1. How in the world did “Feel It” and “Flawless” make the Christmas list? Love both those songs — and bought them — but although they are Christian songs, there’s nothing particular about them that says, “Christmas is here!” “Flawless” seems more appropriate for Easter. And “Feel It” — anytime.
