A New Billboard Top Ten Song for Danny Gokey! “Mary Did You Know” and More Chart News

Christmas Is Here on iTune Banner (440x208)Danny Gokey has a NEW Top TEN song on Billboard from his album “Christmas Is Here”

The competition between Danny Gokey’s two Christmas singles has been “neck to neck” on the Billboard charts. On the 1/2/2016  Billboard Christian Airplay chart, “Mary Did You Know” (MDYK) breaks away to enter the Top Ten! It moves to #10 from #16 last week, while “Lift Up Your Eyes” (LUYE) is up to #13 (up 5 spots.)

Also, it is a nice surprise to see “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” (TYHTBA) at #19!  It is the “greatest gainer” for this week. And this is its first time in the top 20!Billboard CA 01 02 16 (294x461)

On the Hot Christian Songs chart, MDYK moves up to #19 (23), LUYE rises to #22 (was 24) and TYHTBA is at #32! Congratulations to Danny for placing THREE songs in the Top 40 Hot Christian Songs last week!

  • On the Billboard Christian AC Airplay chart, “Lift Up Your Eyes” is #4 (8) and “Mary Did You Know ” is #5 (was 11)!!
  • “Lift Up Your Eyes” enters the Billboard Hot AC/CHR Christian Airplay chart at #26. (This is a chart that Danny doesn’t generally see a lot of play.)
  • Christmas Is Here” (CIH) takes it’s highest chart position on Billboard’s Independent Album chart at #10 this week! And sales of #Hope In Front of Me” (HIFOM) surges to take the #25 spot!
  • Danny’s albums are doing very well on the Billboard’s Christian Albums Chart:  #12 – CIH and #20 – HIFOM.

  1. I was able to pull the BDS Nielson report tonight and the increase of spins for “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” is AMAZING! It increased 517 spins in a week!! From 44 spins to 561!!!
