Danny Gokey Performs at the NHL All Star Fan Fair

Nashville hosted a FABULOUS NHL All Star Fan Fair

Danny Gokey performed on the indoor Honda stage on Sunday, January 31st.  He sang many of the songs off his album, “Hope in Front of Me”, such as “Better Than Gold”, “Hope in Front of Me”, “More Than You Think I Am”, and “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again”. But the most unusual was when he sang “Take it the Limit”.  Danny was joined by a special dancer, Florida Panther mascot Stanley C!  I wish I had caught it on film when the big cat attempted to lick Danny and Josh on their faces!  Anyone have the photo? Please send it to us!!

Please forgive the annoying lighting in this video.  They were using the strobe lights during this song and my camera protested mightily!

Danny closed his set with a number of Motown classics: “PYT”, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”, “Not too Proud To Beg”
and his “American Idol” audition song, “I Heard it Through the Grapevine”.

  1. Thanks, Admin2. It was such a fun surprise to see that mascot dancing with Danny and his band. I REALLY wish I had a picture of it slurping Danny’s face. Danny kiddingly asked for security at that point….

This was a really neat event. Where can you go for a $20 ticket and see Danny Gokey, Mercy Me, the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile (and it’s competition, the Mr. Peanut Mobile), the Stanley Cup, get autographs of NHL stars, see a Velveta cheese fountain and …..

THEN walk outside to see Dierks Bentley, Kelsea Ballerini, Eli Young Band perform to a huge street crowd and eat free S’mores while you watch the All Star game on an outdoor movie screen?

    Nashville did it up RIGHT!!

    I had a great time!
