  2. Meant to add that I really needed that. I’m very stressed right now, between an arduous workweek last week, trying to find good doctors for my sister in an area that has none, and the Orlando murders of Christina Grimmie and 49 people at an Orlando nightclub — well, I really needed a laugh.

  6. I’m glad you were able to enjoy Danny & Leyicet’s video. They are a lot of fun together. I hope things go smoother on the family front. I know how fatiguing it can be to try to get the best medical care for your family….. I am my mom’s health advocate and Monday we tried to do the best we could to address her concerns/complaints as we could….

    I don’t know how many of you are Casey James fans. I’ve loosely followed him, and other former Idols, to see how things are going in their career. He was also a 3rd place finalist.   8. Hmm, it is looking as if TYHTBA has peaked at #2 on mediabase. Would like to be wrong and there could be a final push but it’s drifted down quite a bit now. The Billboard #1 is on the books at least, either way

    I really wonder if getting the highest AI for awhile on Mediabase gives Danny that #1 he wanted for TYHTBA? His song is fading faster than Lauren’s, I doubt there will be another rally.

    Nonetheless, he got the #1 on Billboard for sure, so???

    Someone has done a really good job of updating Danny’s Wikipedia page and is only about 8 days behind. Our thanks to “Rhzleosl” for all the work he/she has put into making it a much better page!!

    I’d assume that is what his team is using when they refer to a #1 on the MB ‘airplay’ or audience chart?

    It would be nice to see a #1 on the regular MB chart.

    But the two #1s on Billboard from a debut CCM album is a very nice credit. Esp when it is three, isn’t it? Or did none of the Christmas songs get all the way to the top of the single chart.

  14. The Christmas songs didn’t make it to #1. But the Christmas album did the week it was released.(On the holiday album chart). In October 🙂

  18. Guess what?? My husband and I drove down the mountain to the desert to do some shopping, and when he flipped the stations there was Danny Gokey singing, TYHTBA!! I never listen to the radio at home, but driving it’s either CD’s or radio. Now, I know exactly what station to listen to. 🙂 There aren’t many singers on the radio I can smile and say that I shook their hand. Well…. Cher. 🙂

    I found a really cute video on a mother/daughter team that attended a recent Danny concert. I think Sara and her mom are just plain adorable. Thanks to Sara for sharing her fun night out with us!

  27. I also keep a watch on the new songs Danny is registering with BMI. Since he put out the Christmas album, I have found 10 new songs. The latest is a co-write with Bernie Herms and Emily Lynn Weisband: “Stronger Than We Think”. I’m going to guess it’s along the inspiring vein, eh?

    Two other recent titles: “Be Still” (I’m guessing it’s going to include the phrase “And know I am God” from the often mentioned bible verse that Danny heard after Sophia’s passing) and “New Sun Rising” . Also seems to run the hope theme…. now, if he had said “Bad Moon Rising” it would remind me of an old Creedance Clearwater Revival song…. 😉

  31. I’m pretty sure I have Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” . . . somewhere. Great dance song! And an anthem.

    I remember my cousin buying “Bad Moon Rising.” He was staying with our family for the summer, sometime after his mother (my aunt) had passed away. It was supposed to give my uncle and his two older brothers some time to deal with things. But he was used to living in a major metropolitan area and was bored to tears in a small town. I remember being astonished that his allowance was big enough to buy a 45 rpm record. I also remember he wanted hot chocolate (or maybe chocolate milk?) one day, and he rode my bike to the local mom and pop store to buy cocoa, but he made a mistake and bought unsweetened baker’s chocolate instead. The expression on his face! We were so young. I remember being mad he wouldn’t let me watch my favorite cartoon. But before he left, I ended up really liking his cartoons!

    After Jan wrote about “New Sun Rising” and “Bad Moon Rising,” I was curious. I wondered if there was a “New Moon Rising.” I looked on youtube and found one. I didn’t like it. While I was there, I saw this one–the one Jan wrote about. I listened to it, and I did like it, so I brought it here.
    (I think I’ve heard it somewhere before but don’t know where.)
