Cool video about Danny Gokey performing for WGTS-FM at their summer concert in Tyson’s Corner Center. The video also talks about WGTS mission to go into public places to proclaim the gospel to people that may have never heard it.

That is a good video. I can see where I was standing lol, but thankfully I don’t think I am visible on camera 😉

Five thousand is more than I estimated, but possibly – it was very full in a large space, and there were also people transiting the open area going to and from the mall interior. There were security personnel trying to keep a clear path for the passers-by but it was pretty hopeless. The fire marshall would not have approved :O

When I got there, people were filling out the top deck of the parking garage getting out their camp chairs to bring with them to the concert. Which should have been a clue to me, somehow I had missed that we should do that so I wound up standing. Which was ok as I was able to squeeze much closer toward the stage than if I had to set up a chair at the time I arrived.

I’m glad this major market station had such a memorable concert event with Danny. have no doubt it had very good attendance, and WGTS gave the event good advertising from what I heard going there and back. One of the female acts is doing a similar show this month, it might be interesting to compare what attendance she gets.

I have not heard The Comeback but any time I’ve had this station on for even an hour or so, I hear a DG song – last time was RISE, have also heard Tell Your Heart To Beat Again several times, and More Than You Think I Am.
