Singer-songwriters Zach Williams and Lauren Daigle are the top artist nominees for the 2017 GMA Dove Awards, which recognizes Christian music makers in variety of genres. Williams and Daigle lead the pack of nominated artists with five nominations each, though neither are up for the show’s big award, Artist of the Year. That category’s nominees include Chris Tomlin, For King & Country, Hillsong United, MercyMe and TobyMac.

The 48th annual show will be held Oct. 17 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. It will air Oct. 22 on Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Some really tough competition, but always an honor to get nominated. Kind of ironic that Danny is competing against Casting Crowns, the headliners of The Very Next Thing Tour of earlier this year….
Danny didn’t perform last year, so with two significant nominations, I expect he will this time.
