Danny Gokey in NYC for 2018 Grammys

Leyicet and Danny Gokey before the 2016 Latin AMAsHow to Follow Along With Danny Gokey at the 2018 Grammy Awards!

Wouldn’t we love it if Danny Gokey’s Christian Album of the Year category was part of the nationally televised program?  We won’t have to wait as long since the Christian music awards (and another 60+ categories) will be presented earlier in the day at the Recording Academy Premiere Ceremony.

This event is hosted at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Jan. 28.  It will be streamed live internationally via GRAMMY.com from 3–6 p.m EST.  This prior to the 60th GRAMMY Awards telecast. Singer, composer and instrumentalist Paul Shaffer will host the ceremony and will serve as musical director.  Some of the nominees will serve as presenters:   Zac Brown, Natalie Grant and Bernie Herms, Ledisi, Lisa Loeb, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and former Recording Academy Chair Jimmy Jam.

The Grammys Red Carpet will air at 6:30 EST on CBS with a live entertainment special. With so many mainstream artists in attendance, will we get to see Danny and Leyicet?  Kind of long shot, but you know we are setting our recorder just in case!  (There’s a good chance to see Red Carpet photos after the event whether they are spotted on the  broadcast.)

On Saturday, January 27th, Danny will be participating with Bernie Herms on this segment with Travis Greene.

Travis Greene will participate in a panel discussion titled “Engage Culture.” Joining him in the conversation at Sony Music Entertainment’s New York office are Christian music artists Tauren Wells and Danny Gokey, musician/producer Bernie Herms and JJ Hairston, director of the Youthful Praise gospel choir with moderator Dr. Holly Carter. – Billboard.com

  1. To be honest.. I’m not a fan of award shows. I am happy for Danny’s nomination. The Grammy Awards are my least favorite. So, I wouldn’t be watching anyway. I hope Danny knows.. win or not win.. he’s still a winner. 🙂

  2. I am so excited for Danny! I do so hope that he wins ” The Grammy”. No matter happens Danny has been recognized for his amazing talent and work he’s done! Praise The Lord!

  3. So Danny’s segment of the Grammys will be livestreamed rather than televised? And if the livestream starts at 3:00 p.m. EST, then I guess it starts at noon PST? Dang! I have a conflict. And I am so confused!
