PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Motown Gospel celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with its newest seasonal installment—A Motown Gospel Christmas. The festive 9-track collection features holiday classics performed by the legendary label’s artist roster and extended musical family.

Vocal powerhouse Tasha Cobbs Leonard delivers an epic performance of “O Holy Night,” while Lexi’s passionate “Give Love On Christmas Day” harkens back to the classic Jackson 5 rendition. Other standout moments include Brian Courtney Wilson’s rousing “Give Us A Star,” producer Max Stark’s festive “Piano Carol” medley, and Kenny Lattimore’s smooth rendition of “God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen.”

The project also includes don’t-miss moments from Capitol Christian Music Group artists Danny Gokey (“O Come, O Come Emmanuel”) and Mandisa (“Beautiful Son”), while emerging artists Gene Moore and new signee Jerard & Jovaun shine brightly on “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “We Three Kings.”

From start to finish, A Motown Gospel Christmas offers a timeless collection of Christmas music that is both soulful and soul-stirring—an instant fan-favorite for the holiday season.

  1. Fun, look forward to hearing the song list.

Do we think these are new recordings, or a compilation from previous Christmas releases?

It doesn’t say DG and Natatlie (who is not very Motown 😉 ), so I guess The Prayer isn’t in the cards for this one.

  2. Thinking over Danny’s, “Christmas is Here”, they could borrow, “This Christmas” for the Motown claim. But I am still hoping for something new …

  3. “a sonic journey through the decades. This album features CCM heavyweights Mandisa and Danny Gokey performing in new and exciting ways, while also giving you career-defining moments from artists”

Clearly a compilation album for the Gospel album listed… abd they may consider Danny and Mandisa’s songs “new and exciting” from this decade….
