Beautiful, Two-Day Old Emanuel Daniel Gokey
The newest addition to the Gokey family was born on Friday, August 16. Emanuel’s timing was great; father Danny Gokey was able to be there for the birth of his fourth child with his wife, Leyicet in Nashville; but just before Danny had to leave for the “Off the Charts” Festival that he was headlining in ND! Fortunately, Danny was back in time to bring Leyicet and the new baby home on Sunday.

Emanuel is their third son and weighed in at a healthy eight pounds, fourteen ounces at almost two weeks earlier than his due date! He joins his siblings, big brother Daniel Emanuel is 6 1/2 , sister Victoria Isabella is 4 1/2 and brother Gabriel Daniel will turn two later this month! While this is a very good sized newborn, look how tiny he looks in his dad’s arms!

In April, the Christian singer — who released his fifth studio album, Haven’t Seen It Yet, earlier this year — told PEOPLE exclusively in April that he’s still figuring out how to balance being a father and full-time musician.
“I had to learn some things because it’s not easy. … Being a dad is one of my favorite things in life,” Gokey said. “This spring, I went on a 44-city tour. In addition to that, I did a 15-city radio tour and then I finished a record.” Read the full article HERE.
