The Hope Encounter Tour Concludes on November 17th

The final show of Danny Gokey”s  Hope Encounter Tour with Coby James is drawing to a close.  But don’t fret, the Celebrate Christmas tour will roll out shortly after!  It starts December 4th in Colorado Springs and ends near Seattle Washington on December 21st.

Counting the days until I see all “the guys”….traveling 3-1/2 hours this time and it’s a journey that I’ve been looking forward to more than ever…the songs on this new album have touched me, molded me, helped me, made me cry and made me shout with joy….Danny and his team have done it again!!   5. Happy November! We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground…. hopefully it will be gone soon and we can resume fall, LOL!

    I think “Wanted” is one of Danny’s slowest moving songs that he’s had in awhile. I could be that stations It also has the lowest AI of the songs around it.

    Very cold here. They are blowing snow at one of the tubing runs, but not our ski/snowboard mountains, yet.

    Is the new CD doing as well as RISE?

The Holidays Are Here is my favorite from the xmas album.It is light and fun.The other ones are emotionally bit of heavy for me.There are several really good songs on it.But I was expecting some joyful tracks.Then again I dont celebrate xmas.Maybe I just get the faulse idea about xmas in the first place.

  9. I agree with you, Mr Bing…., I rhink Danny has added more religious weight to even standard Christmas songs. I think Christmas is Here was more balanced, but of course I am grateful to have more DG Christmas music.

    Our snow is melting today, so it is a wet mess outside… I am hoping for dry weather so the many leaves that have fallen (and about to fall) can blow away! (We live surrounded by ag fields, so I don’t have to worry about annoying my neighbors…

    Unfortunately, rain and below normal temps are predicted for next week, here.

    I haven’t listened to the full new EP yet. Just sampled the audio from YT. (With apologies to Jan, it’s too early for me to get Christmas music!!) I liked the duet with David A, nice combination of two good but very different vocalists.

  13. From that other website, here is what they report as Billboard chart positions. (I really don’t like that Billboard has made chart access a paid service….I haven’t been willing to shell out for the monthly fee since they changed access.)

    He’s worked very hard. I agree with you, Jan.
    Since I have been a Danny Gokey fan for all these years… yes, I did do a little jump at his nominations. What a journey he’s been on. Very proud!

    Congrats again Danny! I remember the header for Danny’s twitter account many years ago was about having Grammy’s one day. It is giving me goosebumps thinking that he’ll win this. I’m so happy and proud of him.

  23. I just received a refund back from the company I purchased Danny’s Christmas Tour tickets. They had sold out of their tickets. I’m not sure where to go, now. Very disappointed. Not sure when Danny and Natalie will be out this way again. Any suggestions..

  24. That is very unusual. I have never had my tickets cancelled. I would call their office if it happened to me….

  25. A person called my husband to say their tickets had sold out.
    But, another door opened. Instead of Riverside, we are going by San Diego. Happy about that. We have our zoo passes we haven’t used this year, so we’re going to stay a couple of days. We’ve been wanting to get down that way. Everything worked out. 🙂

  29. Sorry to hear about your fall, Ellen. That is scary stuff.

    I tripped on the vacuum in our basement and fell full out (hitting my hand and hip) on the concrete floor. Fortunately, I was just sore for a couple of days. I really laid myself out. Spread out the impact, lol.

  30. Ouch on the fall, that sounds very painful and uncomfortable. A friend of mine here fell down a flight of stairs recently and had a lot of difficulties after.

    I’m glad to see the two GRAMMY nods, and that Danny is the only Capitol label nominee for the song award. Hopefully the new label will give the nomination their full support. Though on name recognition and other factors, a collaboration with Dolly Parton may be hard to beat if the category is voted by the entire GRAMMY membership, idk – I haven’t heard the song.

  31. I heard a couple of the other song nominees on radio today. Not crazy about them. One was the For King and Country song, which didn’t have any clearly discernible Dolly Parton content. Looking it up, that seems to be an alternate version of the song?. While I like it better than the radio cut I heard, still seems like a weird way to get song of the year nomination with an alternate version than the one you’ve had out to radio and most people would be familiar with.

  32. The video and cu with Dolly was released after the original version reached #1. I was surprised it was the version entered, too. Perhaps they feel the collaboration is more note worthy, remarkable?

  41. I only go to this site for my Danny Gokey news. It’s sad that people still say such mean things.

    I hope it wasn’t about his Christmas video. I still have the tune in my head. Like I mentioned in my other post.. his children were adorable in the video.

  42. I wasn’t surprised that quote was put in the headline by a certain blog… No one touched it for hours. Even so, I’ve seen a lot worse comments. Danny’s success and some supporters have made a big difference. And the fact they believe he is corralled in CCM 😉

  46. Hey, I do believe it’s December and we need a new discussion post!

    I am doing better, by the way. I can walk — just not super long/far. And my knees are stiff and not happy about stairs. Also, my hips are stiff, but I’m not sure whether that is from the fall or lack of exercise.
