Welcome 2021! Danny Gokey News & Discussion- Jan & Feb

A New Day!

We welcome to start of 2021.  The year 2020 was nothing like we expected a year ago. We are ready for change and with 2021 comes Danny Gokey’s 4th single, “New Day”, off of his “Haven’t Seen it Yet” album.

This song has over 4 million views on YouTube. And “New Day” (#36) and “Love God, Love People” (#9) are on the current CAC Mediabase radio chart! LGLP will be heading down shortly, but ND is moving quickly with 18 stations starting it (thanks Houston, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Tulsa, Tampa to just name a few!)

  4. Hi Mr Bing and Cindy,

    It doesn’t look like we are in for normalcy for awhile in the USA….

    But meanwhile, Danny’s single is doing very well. It was the most added song on Christian AC last week and it is climbing very fast. Plus Danny is filming another music video for it. In a big rig and in an airplane hangar? It looks to me that his label is supporting this song very well! Maybe they agree with me that it has really good chance of being another #1 song for him?

    I first heard HSIY and New Day in concert with my sisters back in the early fall of 2019. At the time we were tied 2 to 2 on which song we liked better. 🙂

    I hope everyone is staying safe and doing their best to stay in good spirits during this long pandemic period and time of social and political unrest.

  6. Sorry to read about the loss of Danny and his family’s dog, Butterball. Animals bring us so much joy, and such heartache when they cross the Rainbow Bridge.❤️ I wish them all the best.

  7. Hi Cindy, those big dogs aren’t known for living long lives…. its so hard to lose such a devoted “friend” as a family dog. <3

  9. Was the new day the first song to be released from HSIY album? I remembered he sang a short version during his last tour.

    In September of 2019 Danny sang two songs off the upcoming album. New Day and Haven’t Seen It Yet.

    Good memory! The video he released for it has 4.3 million views. I was surprised he is releasing a second video for it.

    Danny’s 4th song from HSIY is doing very well. Here’s the latest stats:

    #12 Mediabase CAC
    #13 Billboard CAC
    #14 Billboard Christian Airplay
    #16 Hot Christian Songs

    It needs to build the Audiance Impression as well as more spins to make it to Top 10, but it already has 50 of 54 monitored Mediabase stations playing it 🙂

  15. Since New Day will probably top out by Summer, I was wondering if Danny is working on a new album. (We know he released a worship song, “Every Victory” and some Spanish songs No Lo Has Visto Aún and my jam, Be Alright )

    So I did some searching and I have the following songs showing that Danny has recorded them:

    Young Again
    Know You

    But here are a few other new songs he co-wrote Second Chance, Make a Difference.

    Very quiet here.

    My husband and I leave for our new home in the Midwest. Will miss my home here, and the town I grew up in, but it’s time. Being closer to family and grandchildren will be wonderful.🙂

  17. Hi Cindy. You’re coming to the Midwest? How nice to be near your family, but it must be a lot of work and emotionally difficult to leave your home in CA.

    PS. Yes, it is VERY quiet here. Not sure if its the pandemic or the fact that blogs just aren’t as popular anymore? And especially artist blogs?
