A Night at Carnegie Hall

50th Anniversary of the GMA Dove Awards

It was a very special night at Carnegie Hall with Danny Gokey joining Gospel Music Association‘s celebration of 50 years of Dove Awards at Carnegie Hall.  Six award winning artists were invited to showcase the multi-cultural and multi-generational music on one stage.  With a combined total of over 40 individual Dove Awards, they showcased a diversity of music.  Appearing that night were host and performer:  Mark Lowry, and artists Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Russ Taff, Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey.

Danny performed his songs “Haven’t Seen It Yet” and “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” but also “Give Me Jesus” and joined Natalie Grant to sing their duet of “The Prayer”.  He also joined in with the other artist on three songs. Continue reading “A Night at Carnegie Hall” →

Congratulations Danny Gokey – 2019 Dove Award Winner

Last night the GMA Dove Award ceremony awarded its 50th annual Dove Awards.  Danny Gokey received the  short video award for his #1 single, “Haven’t Seen It Yet”. Some of the big winners are:

Congrats to Danny Gokey on 2019 Dove Award Nomination

Danny Gokey receives 2019 GMA Dove Award Nomination

Video for “Haven’t Seen It Yet” Receives Nomination!

We are very happy to see that Danny Gokey’s multi-week #1 song, “Haven’t Seen It Yet” has received a nomination for the Short Form Video of the Year in the 2019 GMA Dove Award Nominees, today!  Also nominated is Crowder, Kirk Franklin, Amanda Lindsey Cook, and Hillsong Young & Free.  In checking the number of views on YouTube,Kirk’s “Love Theory” and HSIY are tied for the most with 9.1 million views.

The 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in Nashville Tennessee at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University. The GMA Dove Awards is an awards show produced by the Gospel Music Association. For ticket information click HERE.

As presented by Kathie Lee Gifford (who won an award for with Rabbi Jason Sobel for “The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi”) Danny and his daughter, Victoria, accepted the award.
