Danny Gokey is included in the just released album, “A Motown Gospel Christmas”. His song starts as a very soft, acoustic guitar accompanied version and builds to full “Gokey-ness” with a full backing gospel choir and orchestra! For your $1.29 you get a 4:45 minute Christmas song. This is Danny’s first Capitol Records Christian Group project. (Second project if you count Tuyo with the Social Club Misfits.)
Find it HERE. This is how Capitol describes the album:
The festive 9-track collection features holiday classics performed by the legendary label’s artist roster and extended musical family.
On his Hope Encounter Tour with Tauren Wells and Riley Clemmons, Danny has debuted two new songs. We are pleased to share videos of “Just Haven’t Seen It Yet”. This is one of Danny’s big vocal songs of encouragement. Here are some of the lyrics in Danny’s new song:
Have you been praying, any you still have no answers? Have you been pouring out your heart these many years? Have you been hoping that things have changed by now? Don’t forget the things He has done before. Remember He can do it once more. It’s like the brightest sunrise waiting on the other side of the darkest night. Don’t ever lose hope, hold on and believe. Maybe you just haven’t seen it yet.
You are closer than you think you are, only moments from the break of dawn. All His promises are just up ahead. You just haven’t seen it yet. He had the solution before you had the problem. He sees the best in you when you feel like your worst. So when questioning don’t ever question his love for you. Cause its something in his blood that you find to break through.Continue reading “Video: Just Haven’t Seen It Yet”→
Danny Gokey recently shared a clip of his singing the song “Don’t Stop Believing” and it reminded us of his “American Idol” days! Back in 2009, as a part of the Top 9 on Season 8, Danny and the rest of the contestants did a group performance of the famous song by Journey. Danny is featured at the 2 minute mark in this video.
Danny Gokey joins Canadian radio host Care Baldwin in preparation of Danny’s upcoming concert in Ottawa – one of three Canadian shows he will be having. (Check out the dates on our CALENDAR.) They discuss the origin/meaning of “Masterpiece”, whether he still works on his vocals with a coach, which of his songs minister to Danny?

When I heard that Danny had joined Natalie Grant to perform for the TJ Martell Foundation 10th Annual Gala, it reminded me of time back in 2010. Our thanks to Moments by Moser for this photo!
About the time of the release of his first album, “My Best Days”, Danny joined some established Nashville talent at The 11th Annual Best Cellars Dinner at the Hutton Hotel. The Best Cellars Dinner is one of the Foundation’s signature events that is known for pairing Best Sellers (country music’s top selling artists and other celebrities) with Best Cellars (Nashville’s top wine collectors).
