We have dug into our archives to relive the summer concerts of the past years! The lead photo is from Troy WL and Danny’s outdoor concert in Wausau, Wisconsin. Also featured is Summerfest, Fishfest (Borel Photography) and from Worship in the Adirondacks.
It was a very special night at Carnegie Hall with Danny Gokey joining Gospel Music Association‘s celebration of 50 years of Dove Awards at Carnegie Hall. Six award winning artists were invited to showcase the multi-cultural and multi-generational music on one stage. With a combined total of over 40 individual Dove Awards, they showcased a diversity of music. Appearing that night were host and performer: Mark Lowry, and artists Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Russ Taff, Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey.
Danny performed his songs “Haven’t Seen It Yet” and “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” but also “Give Me Jesus” and joined Natalie Grant to sing their duet of “The Prayer”. He also joined in with the other artist on three songs. Continue reading “A Night at Carnegie Hall”→
I was fortunate to take in the final concert of Danny Gokey’s “Hope Encounter Tour” at a suburb of Chicago. This was likely the biggest sell out audience of the tour. It was announced that the Naperville venue had over 2,700 attendees! I can believe it! I also think it was the largest VIP line I had ever seen. I conservatively estimated 200 people (my husband thought it was closer to 300) waited in line to have a picture taken with Danny before the VIPs could claim the best seats for the night.
The Hope Encounter Tour Concludes on November 17th
The final show of Danny Gokey”s Hope Encounter Tour with Coby James is drawing to a close. But don’t fret, the Celebrate Christmas tour will roll out shortly after! It starts December 4th in Colorado Springs and ends near Seattle Washington on December 21st.
Danny Gokey and Coby James head out at the end of the month for the second year of the Hope Encounter Tour! The first show takes place on Thursday, September 26 in LaFayette LA and concludes Novermber 17th in Naperville, IL. We’ve heard Danny say that he will be rehearsing for four days prior to the tour kickoff. We’re guessing the song list will include his singles (HIFOM, TYHTBA, MTYTIA, Rise, The Comeback, Masterpiece, IYAII, and HSIY) and then some songs from his recently released album: Fighter, New Day, Wanted, Love God, Love People, and then??? Will he throw in a gospel cover or maybe a pop cover?
We are still to learn, wardrobe (hair) and dance moves for this year’s tour! We are excited to see this second headlining tour underway!
