“Love God, Love People, Ama A Dios Y A Tu Vecino is a great addition to my collection of Danny Gokey music. The video is interesting too (I like old trucks and that VW Bug station wagon is the bomb!)
It was the wish of some of us to do a revisit of Danny’s version of “My Wish” from his “American Idol” tour in 2009 as a part of Season 8. So, I searched my archives and came up with this special nugget!
I also have the youtube of Danny’s performance of the same song in his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Those were some huge crowds!
Danny Gokey took to video to encourage the graduates of 2020 in his video message – with song for a Celebrate Youth Convocation Conference. the virtual conference was sponsored by the National Collaboration for Youth Mental Health.
In the ten minute video Danny congratulates the 2020 graduates, shares his struggles with mental health as a young person and encourages them with his songs “No Pressure” and “New Day”.
With the Covid-19 Pandemic causing the cancellation of most public events (including concerts) we have been lucky to see Danny through multiple streaming performances. The above photo is from Danny’s singing of “Haven’t Seen It Yet” as a part of Saddleback Church‘s April 26th online service. They have uploaded his performance and I’ve included it below:

Danny Gokey’s third single from his latest album, “Haven’t Seen It Yet” is just starting to get radio play. Will it pass “Wanted” that peaked at #22 on the Billboard National Christian Airplay chart on 1/31/2020? Currently a few stations are spinning it. Hopefully April will see program directors embrace this song with such a positive message during this troubled time.
It was a very special night at Carnegie Hall with Danny Gokey joining Gospel Music Association‘s celebration of 50 years of Dove Awards at Carnegie Hall. Six award winning artists were invited to showcase the multi-cultural and multi-generational music on one stage. With a combined total of over 40 individual Dove Awards, they showcased a diversity of music. Appearing that night were host and performer: Mark Lowry, and artists Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Russ Taff, Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey.
Danny performed his songs “Haven’t Seen It Yet” and “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” but also “Give Me Jesus” and joined Natalie Grant to sing their duet of “The Prayer”. He also joined in with the other artist on three songs. Continue reading “A Night at Carnegie Hall”→
