Danny Gokey’s third single from his latest album, “Haven’t Seen It Yet” is just starting to get radio play. Will it pass “Wanted” that peaked at #22 on the Billboard National Christian Airplay chart on 1/31/2020? Currently a few stations are spinning it. Hopefully April will see program directors embrace this song with such a positive message during this troubled time.
It was a very special night at Carnegie Hall with Danny Gokey joining Gospel Music Association‘s celebration of 50 years of Dove Awards at Carnegie Hall. Six award winning artists were invited to showcase the multi-cultural and multi-generational music on one stage. With a combined total of over 40 individual Dove Awards, they showcased a diversity of music. Appearing that night were host and performer: Mark Lowry, and artists Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, Russ Taff, Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey.
Danny performed his songs “Haven’t Seen It Yet” and “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” but also “Give Me Jesus” and joined Natalie Grant to sing their duet of “The Prayer”. He also joined in with the other artist on three songs. Continue reading “A Night at Carnegie Hall”→
It had a true throwback vibe with the large horn section from the Tim Akers & the Smoking Section and these 80’s songs like “The Power of Love” (Huey Lewis), Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell)I Knew You Were Waiting (George Michael & Aretha Franklin), September (Earth Wind & Fire) and Superstition (Stevie Wonder)!
While the video is a little skewed the sound it good, so enjoy!! Thanks Tim!!!
Danny Gokey’s second single from his latest album, “Haven’t Seen It Yet” moves up to #22 on the Billboard National Christian Airplay chart/ Its also nearly top 30 on the Mediabase CAC chart. Good to see it climbing after the holiday break.
Danny Gokey’s newly penned and recorded Christmas song, “The Holidays Are Here” is bound to get you in the Christmas spirit! The song is on Danny’s just released album, “The Greatest Gift: A Christmas Collection” and it is written by Danny, Colby Wedgeworth and Ben Glover.
I was fortunate to take in the final concert of Danny Gokey’s “Hope Encounter Tour” at a suburb of Chicago. This was likely the biggest sell out audience of the tour. It was announced that the Naperville venue had over 2,700 attendees! I can believe it! I also think it was the largest VIP line I had ever seen. I conservatively estimated 200 people (my husband thought it was closer to 300) waited in line to have a picture taken with Danny before the VIPs could claim the best seats for the night.
