“I never take getting a No. 1 chart position for granted, or just expect that a song is going to hit, so when it does, it’s always a huge deal to me,” Gokey tells Billboard. “So many people work together to accomplish that, and then it has to connect with fans and at radio, so I’m always honored when that happens. I believe that this is a song of encouragement and hope and we all need that at some point in our lives.”
Danny’s latest single, “Haven’t Seen It Yet” rises by 5% to 11.4 million audience impressions in the week ending June 23, 2019.
We are excited to celebrate Danny Gokey’s newest #1 song on Billboard’s Christian Airplay Chart! Congratulations to Team Danny! In only 22 weeks since release, “Haven’t Seen It Yet” has reached the pinnacle of the biggest Christian chart- replacing “Rise” (at 28 weeks) as Danny’s fastest climbing song!
Singer-songwriter Danny Gokey attains the #1 spot on Billboard’s Christian Album Sales chart for his latest album, “Haven’t Seen It Yet”. It is Danny’s first album with Capitol Christian Music Group/Sparrow Records. A fellow label mate, Lauren Daigle continues her reign on the top of the Billboard‘s Top Christian Albums chart (dated April 27), but Danny’s album claims #2 its debut on that chart.
He also debuts on the Christian Streaming Songs chart this week, rises to #4 on the Hot Christian Songs and is just outside the Top 10 (at #11) in the all genre “Top Album Sales” Billboard chart.
We understand from Billboard’s tweet yesterday that Danny’s newest album checks in at #76 on Billboard’s Hot 200 Album chart (all genres) which includes streaming, etc.

Newest Single Debuts on Billboard’s Christian Airplay Chart
Danny Gokey’s fourth single off his album, RISE, debuts at #44 on the July 7th, 2018 Billboard charts. We think this is an awesome song that is clearly popular with his fans with the over two million youTube views before it was chosen as a single. We know that Air-1, Cleveland’s Fish WFHM are currently playing it and few big stations like WAY-FM and KTIS -FM have tried it out. Will it be embraced by Christian Radio? We hope so.
Danny’s latest single, “Masterpiece” sees a nice growth of +133 spins and a move from #16 in its 17th week on Billboard’s largest Christian airplay chart. “Masterpiece” also moves up a spot on Billboard’s Hot Christian Song chart: this week #21 (last week #22). “Masterpiece” also reached the Top 20 on the Christian AC Indicator song chart (It did slip on the May 5th Billboard charts, but hopefully will rebound.)
