Danny Gokey was the guest artist for the 24th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.  Twenty four years ago, on April 19, 1995 a car bomb placed by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, happened at 9:02 am. It killed 168 people, injured more than 680 others, and destroyed one-third of the building.

The ceremony commemorates those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever. After the bagpipes and the invited speakers enter, Danny opened the ceremony by singing “I Will Not Say Goodbye”. Unfortunately the audio for this song is not good.  However, I love that Danny was invited to sing such a beautiful and appropriate song for this remembrance gathering.
