Danny Gokey returned to his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin to perform at Summerfest on Sunday, July 2nd. It was Danny’s fourth concert at the Summerfest Grounds – the first was for his hometown visit while he competed on “American Idol” in 2009. He previously performed during the Summerfest festival in 2010 and 2011. Video follows:

Summerfest 2017 Wrap Up – Danny Gokey
Danny Gokey returned to his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin to perform on the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard Stage of Summerfest! It was his third concert at the World’s Largest Music Fesitval (11 stages, 800 bands and more than 800,000 attendees) since placing 3rd on American Idol. There was a huge crowd for Danny’s “all age” performance at 6 PM on Sunday, July 2nd.

Danny Gokey to Return for Summerfest 2017
“Summerfest is probably the one show, the most rewarding show for me as an artist, it’s a real festival for me to play at,” Danny Gokey says. “It’s just the hometown crowd.”
It’s been 6 (long) years since Danny Gokey has headlined a stage at the “World’s Largest Music Festival” in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI. But on Sunday, July 2nd he returns for Summerfest’s 50th Anniversary celebration! Danny will return to the Briggs & Stratton “Big Backyard Stage” at 6 PM for a family friendly time and show.

We head back to 2010 for this video— what a year it was for Danny Gokey! He returned to his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin to headline the Briggs & Stratton stage at Summerfest. The crowd to see Danny was HUGE as he returned to his hometown– just a year after his 3rd place finish on “American Idol”. You can tell in this video how emotionally moved Danny is by the crowd response and their singing every word of his first single! We are glad to see that Danny has re-introduced MBDAAM to his current tour set list.
