Can you believe its been five years since Danny’s biggest hit, “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” gave him multiple #1s on Billboard and his first RIAA certified gold song?
I’m glad to see that “Haven’t Seen it Yet” also garnered so many #1s AND was his second RIAA certified gold song.
What will we see for his next album? Let us know your thoughts as we see it roll out! I understand that a few new songs will precede the release of his next album.
I was fortunate to take in the final concert of Danny Gokey’s “Hope Encounter Tour” at a suburb of Chicago. This was likely the biggest sell out audience of the tour. It was announced that the Naperville venue had over 2,700 attendees! I can believe it! I also think it was the largest VIP line I had ever seen. I conservatively estimated 200 people (my husband thought it was closer to 300) waited in line to have a picture taken with Danny before the VIPs could claim the best seats for the night.

Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum
Danny Gokey was the guest artist for the 24th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Twenty four years ago, on April 19, 1995 a car bomb placed by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, happened at 9:02 am. It killed 168 people, injured more than 680 others, and destroyed one-third of the building.
The ceremony commemorates those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever. After the bagpipes and the invited speakers enter, Danny opened the ceremony by singing “I Will Not Say Goodbye”. Unfortunately the audio for this song is not good. Danny Gokey performed a few of his songs in studio at Joy FM on his radio tour promoting his new single, “Haven’t Seen It Yet”. We are glad to see Danny’s former guitar player, Joshua Lutz, reunited with Danny for this event!

Danny Gokey sang his #1 song, “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again”, on the final day of Greg Laurie’s So Cal Harvest in Angel Stadium. Over 25,000 people gathered each night of the three night event in Anaheim to hear Pastor Laurie’s message. Laurie is the senior pastor at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Orange County…. The church hosts the SoCal Harvest, a three-day gathering that features food, testimonials and music performances by popular Christian artists. Phil Wickham, Brennley Brown, Danny Gokey and Jordin Sparks performed Sunday night of the event.
Pastor Greg Laurie kicked off the three-day 2017 SoCal Harvest at Angel Stadium on Friday night with a strong anti-racist message, asking the crowd of 26,000 gathered to take the second chance given to all by God’s love and forgiveness.
